How to Write Better Ad Copy with AI

AI can generate dozens of ad copy variations in seconds. Here is how to use it to find your winning creative.

Finding winning ad creative is a volume game - the more variations you test, the better your chances of finding a winner. AI makes generating variations effortless.

The Framework

Every effective ad has four components: Hook, Problem, Solution, and CTA. Structure your AI prompts around these elements.

Facebook/Instagram Ad Copy

Prompt for Copy.ai or ChatGPT: "Write 5 variations of Facebook ad copy for [product]. Target audience: [describe]. Key benefit: [benefit]. Pain point: [problem]. Include a hook, one sentence on the problem, two sentences on the solution, and a clear CTA. Each variation should use a different hook style: question, bold claim, story, statistic, and challenge."

Google Search Ad Copy

Prompt: "Write 3 Google Search ad headline sets for the keyword [keyword]. Each set needs 3 headlines (max 30 chars each) and 2 descriptions (max 90 chars each). Include the keyword in at least one headline. Focus on [main USP]."

Testing at Scale

Generate 20-30 variations, run them with small budgets ($5-10/day per ad set), and identify winners within 7 days. Then scale the winners. AI makes the generation step free - your only cost is media spend for testing.
